San Francisco

3 - 7 June, 2010

Flight :
Virgin America from JFK.
It takes about 7 hours to get there. Long flight with no entertainment...
If you want something you have to order on touch panel in front of your seat and swipe your credit card. There are no meal, no movie, no nothing. Sadly it seems like the standard flight style in US.

Hotel :
The Stanford Court
Since it's located on Nob Hill,  we had a great view from our room but that means each time when you come back, you have to climb tremendous steep slopes. ※wireless internet costs $15/day ... that's insane!
The Westin St. Francis Address:
It's just besides the union sq, convenient location and very luxurious room.

Restaurant :
You should definitely try.
check this out, TOP 100 RESTAURANTS in BAY AREA.

Slanted Door /Vietnamese, @Ferry Building.
We really liked this fancy Vietnamese place, actually we went there twice during our short stay. Must have Shaking Beef, jasmine rice and imperial roll.

Bar Jules /California. @Hayes Valley.
The lunch and dinner menus change daily, we picked wild arugula salad with zucchini and pesto, grilled chicken sandwich from there blackboard menu.

Nopa /California-Mediterranean. @Alamo Sq.
Modern, casual interior with stylish high ceilings.
The bar space was already full around 6pm. All plates look good, rotisserie chicken and fries are attractive. We liked Moroccan vegetable tagine.

Zuni Cafe /California-Mediterranean. @Hayes Valley.
Their menus also change daily, we took fresh oysters and grilled halibut. Food, place and service are really great.

Activity :
If you have an interest in architecture and history of the buildings in the city,
San Francisco Architecture Walking Tour

And of course, Napa valley winery tour. Platpus Tours
They took us to 4 nice and cozy wineries with picnic lunch.  For the first trip to Napa, it was a memorable experience.
